Social Events

The Old Brentwoods’ Clubhouse holds many social events during the year, a number of which will be private functions booked directly with Renato Timanti and Melanie Bryant (please refer to the Clubhouse page for details). Most of the remaining parties, discos, dinners, and various sporting events are devised and arranged by the individual affiliated clubs.

The Management Committee organises some regular events with the most notable being The Summer Ball, The President’s Cocktail Party and The Halloween Disco.

The Summer Ball is organised in association with The Friends of Brentwood School. The Ball is usually held in the first week of July to coincide with the end of the School term, attracting in the region of 200-250 people for a wonderful evening’s entertainment in a marquee situated within the grounds of the Old Brentwoods’ Clubhouse.

The President’s Cocktail Party is arranged at the Clubhouse on a Friday evening in mid-September. It is an informal gathering (jacket and tie) to bid a fond farewell to the outgoing Society President over a glass of wine and buffet. It always precedes the formal election of the incoming President on Old Brentwoods’ Day at the School.

The Halloween Disco is a family affair aiming to combine the fun and costume of Halloween with a traditional fireworks party. Held at the end of October, it comprises a children’s disco with prizes, followed by the lighting of the bonfire and fireworks.
