Golf
The first regular Annual General Meeting of The Old Brentwoods’ Golfing Society was held at Brentwood School on Saturday, December 5th 1936. Since then to the present time, we play friendly matches against other Independent Schools’ Golfing Societies as well as matches against the School and the Common Room.
We have a Spring Meeting at Aldeburgh, an Autumn Meeting at Woodbridge and three other competitions held at Thorndon Park Golf Club.
The subscription is currently £10.00 p.a. and the only restriction is that the maximum handicap allowed is 24. The membership is about 130 with a hardcore of about 50 living locally.
